Grades 6th – 8th 

Carlisle Middle School offers a research-based curriculum that challenges students in the areas of science, mathematics, languages, and humanities. They are taught how to apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios and routinely are tasked with interdisciplinary assignments that require research, writing, technological components, and public speaking.

Middle School Academics

Middle School students participate in a rigorous course of study designed to challenge the adolescent while nurturing their developing mind. Our program promotes critical thinking skills and inquiry while developing young writers.

• Community Service: Community service is at the heart of Carlisle School.  Our program encourages our students to participate in and lead service projects. While recognizing middle school students have limited transportation due to their age, we provided in-school service projects to allow all our students an opportunity to help others.  Each grade has a specific number of hours required that is met each year, and students document their hours and projects by completing our Community Service Form.
  
  
• Advisory Program: The Carlisle Middle School Advisory program fosters life-long learners in an academically and socially supportive environment.  The program promotes a positive school climate while encouraging character development and a desire to serve others through volunteerism.
  
  
• Battle of the Books: Students in grades 6 – 8 have the opportunity to participate in the Battle of the Books.  This program encourages students to read books from an Elite list of 18 titles. Students meet on a monthly basis to discuss the books and begin preparing for the “Battle” held in early April.
