Student Spotlights
Step Into the Carlisle Community
At Carlisle, we celebrate our students’ successes both in and out of the classroom. Through a supportive environment and a wide range of opportunities, we nurture growth and achievement at every stage. Guided by our Portrait of a Graduate, we strive to develop young people of character, intellect, and leadership—preparing them to thrive in school, in their communities, and beyond.
Sally Vaughn & Liza Harris - Community Service in Action
We are proud of rising 6th grader Sally Vaughn and rising 4th grader Liza Harris for raising over $6,000 for the Martinsville/Henry County SPCA through their LemonAide stand. Their hard work and generosity turned a simple idea into a powerful act of kindness. At Carlisle, one of our Portrait of a Graduate pillars is Character—and these young leaders have shown what it means to serve your community with compassion and purpose.
Abby Sullivan- Exploring the Medical Field
This summer, rising sophomore Abby Sullivan attended the Wake Forest University Summer Immersion Program to explore her passion for medicine. She gained valuable hands-on experience through brain and heart dissections, performing ultrasounds, and learning patient care skills. Abby also practiced critical medical techniques such as CPR, intubation, delivering a baby, and conducting neurological exams. We are so proud of her hard work and dedication to pursuing her interests!

Carlisle is proud to celebrate our 2025 VISAA Division III Varsity Golf State Champions! This incredible victory is the result of hard work, dedication, and teamwork. Congratulations to Connor Boughton, Addison Lawrence, and Logan Williams on earning All-State honors, and to Head Coach P.C. Wells, who was named Coach of the Year for his outstanding leadership.
Destiny Johnson- National Award Winner
Congratulations to Destiny Johnson, who was named the National Society of Black Engineers’ Female Pre-College Student of the Year at the Golden Torch Awards in Chicago. This prestigious honor also includes a $1,000 scholarship. Destiny exemplifies Carlisle’s Portrait of a Graduate—showcasing character, intellect, and leadership in all she does. She plans to attend the University of Virginia, where she is considering a major in Neuroscience or Engineering.
