Gymnasium Fund
Exciting things are happening at Carlisle School, and we need your help with a very important
project, the main gymnasium. The current rubber floor is failing and must be replaced. With your help, we will install a new, quality wood floor. In addition, the gym requires three other primary improvements that will be a part of this upgrade: lighting, painting, and sound.
Year after year in the world of athletics, Carlisle dominated in basketball. We are among the
winningest independent schools in Virginia history with 7 Boys State Championships and 8 Girls State Championships. In addition to our rich athletic history, our students use the facility as much, if not more than varsity athletes. It is a space for youth level basketball, all levels of
volleyball, assemblies, physical education classes, recess, dances and community events; it is a
gathering place, and we want it to be safe, inviting and worthy to be called, home of the Carlisle
student-athletes. The court itself will be dedicated to all the coaches in Carlisle’s rich history
who have given time, energy, and wisdom to Carlisle’s athletes over the years.
We have a fundraising target of $100,000 by July 31, 2022, with a guaranteed match up to
$50,000. If we exceed our goal, the additional money will be used for improvements to the
weight room and locker rooms.
With your help we can have a facility to rival any indoor gym in the area, one that will help us
attract more students and better serve our current population. Donations to Coaches Court may
