Carlisle School is currently ranked as the best K-12 independent school in Virginia with tuition under $14,000 by Niche.
Niche is a website dedicated to compiling data to create a comprehensive ranking system for every school in the U.S. Ranking factors include SAT/ACT scores, the quality of colleges that students consider, student-teacher ratio, and student and parent reviews.
Overall, Carlisle is ranked #17 out of all K-12 private schools in Virginia. The #1 school in all of Virginia, The Potomac School in northern Virginia, has a tuition of $38,550 compared to Carlisle’s tuition that ranges from $7,660 for Kindergarten to $12,280 for 11th and 12th grades.
“The education students receive at Carlisle is on par with the best schools in the state, but at a far more affordable price,” said Head of School Tommy Hudgins, “and our ranking by Niche only goes to prove that.”
Even at the relatively low tuition level, Carlisle strives to make the education affordable to all families. In the 2017-2018 school year alone, Carlisle has given more than $850,000 in need-based aid to low-income families.
“A great education not only helps individual students succeed, but also can help improve a community.” explained Hudgins. “This is why we do everything in our power at Carlisle to open our doors to families in need.”
