New Faculty Faces for 2018-19

We already know of two new teachers who will be joining us for the 2018-19 school year, and we are lucky to have found them!  I know you will welcome them to the Carlisle family in August.

Mrs. Christy Richardson will teach chemistry and physics courses in the Upper School, including our Advanced Placement offerings.  She comes to us from McMichael High School in Rockingham County, where over the past five years she taught virtually every course in the science department.  She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and also possesses certification as a pharmacy technician.  Mrs. Richardson, her husband, and their three sons live in North Carolina.

Mr. Lucas Almeda will teach Lower and Middle School physical education and coach varsity soccer.  He holds an undergraduate degree from Ashford University in Iowa and a Master’s degree in Strategic Leadership from Oklahoma Wesleyan University.  Coach Almeda hails from Brazil, so he will add to Carlisle’s international flavor.  He has experience coaching at the high school, college, and semi-professional levels, and he is excited about bringing his daughter into the Carlisle family, too!
